Come out for the Lititz Chocolate Walk!
There are many reasons why Lititz is such a sweet
place to live, but one of them—the Lititz Chocolate Walk—is one of the most special.
Every year, on the Saturday before Columbus Day,
Lititz, Pennsylvania becomes a chocoholic's dream. More than two dozen
locations will open their doors to the Chocolate Walkers as they eat umptheir
way across Lititz. Samples are donated from some of the area's finest bakers,
chefs, candy makers, and ice cream shops, and everyone participating in the
Walk will have their fill by day's end.
The best part: the Lititz Chocolate Walk donates
100% of the ticket proceeds to support children-focused charities throughout
the Lancaster County area.
It's common to hear the locals describe it as "trick
or treating for all ages" and they are right! Every stop you make has a treat
for you, and the Walk is your chance to sample artisan delights and some of the
wonderful attractions Lititz has to offer all in the same night.
How long does the walk take?
Well if your plan is to grab your chocolate from each stop,
the entire walk could be done in about 90 minutes; but chances are you'll want
to make a day out of it like a true chocolate walker! The entire walk runs from
10 am to 4 pm, and you can expect the walk to take an average of 3-4 hours to
complete if you plan to enjoy your chocolate while perusing every stop you come
Are there any special deals happening during the walk?
While there very well could be some special
chocolate-fueled deals at the various shops and restaurants, all the
participants can enjoy discounts on in-person purchases. Part of the goal of
the Lititz Chocolate Walk is to get others to visit and fall in love with the
town, and that discount is a reward for making the delicious trek across
Make sure you have your ticket and special Lititz
Chocolate Walk pin this Saturday. We'll see you there!
If you do not have a chocolate walk ticket this year, you can still come into Lititz to shop, eat, and get a Wilbur Bud sample treat!
